There are many ways you can be involved in our work here in the Dominican Republic.
We live in the town where Luis was born and grew up, San Francisco de Macorís. He is working with several baseball leagues along with their coaches and trainers. He has the opportunity to work with more in the future, should needed baseball supplies and money to buy material for baseball jerseys and caps be available.
Luis is a tailor by profession and when money is donated for material, he makes jerseys for the youth in the leagues. In the past several months, he has been able to make 600 jerseys, each with the name of the donating individual or church stamped on the back of the jersey.
Also, donated baseball equipment, especially gloves, used little league uniforms, and protectors are greatly needed and used here. Any kind of used baseball equipment is needed and appreciated, as well as Bibles and other Christian material in Spanish.
Another opportunity would be to sponsor a poor youth who has good potential for a future in professional baseball, but lacks resources to make the most of his potential, such as attending special baseball clinics or academies for several months of the year in another part of the country.
